What is Aeronautical Engineer?
An aeronautical engineer designs, develops and tests aircraft — from commercial jets to military fighters to drones and space vehicles. India's aerospace sector is growing rapidly with HAL, ISRO and DRDO leading indigenous aircraft and missile development alongside private defence manufacturers like Tata Advanced Systems and Larsen & Toubro Defence. India's civil aviation boom and the government's defence indigenisation push are driving demand for aeronautical engineers. It is one of the most technically demanding and prestigious engineering disciplines.

For PCM students with top mathematics and physics scores who are deeply passionate about aviation and space. Aeronautical engineering requires a strong base in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and structures. Entry into this field is competitive — IIT Bombay, Madras and Kharagpur are the top colleges.
