This policy explains when and how refunds are issued for paid reports purchased on SearchMyAdmission.

Report delivered correctly but college wasn’t allotted, low probability shown, or you changed your mind.

1Nature of Our Products
Our paid reports are digital products that are generated and delivered instantly upon successful payment, based on the information you provide (rank, category, exam type, target college, and related inputs). Because the report is generated and made available to you immediately, it is treated as a delivered digital good once generation is complete.
2General Refund Policy — No Refunds After Successful Delivery
As a general rule, once a report has been successfully generated and made available to you (whether viewed on screen, downloaded, or sent to your registered email), it is considered delivered and is non-refundable.
This is because:
- The report is generated specifically and uniquely for your inputs (rank, category, target college) and cannot be “returned” or resold
- The computational and informational value is delivered in full at the moment of generation
- You have the opportunity to review your inputs (target college, branch, category) before confirming payment
3When You ARE Eligible for a Refund
You are eligible for a 100% refund only in the following circumstances:
3.1 Non-Delivery
If payment was successfully deducted from your account, but the report was not generated and not delivered to you (on screen or via email) due to a technical failure on our end.
3.2 Technical Failure
If the report generated contains a critical technical error that renders it unusable — for example, blank pages, completely missing data sections, or a report that does not correspond to the inputs you submitted, caused by a verified system malfunction.
3.3 Duplicate Payment
If you were charged more than once for the same report due to a payment gateway or technical error.

5What Is NOT Eligible for a Refund
To set clear expectations, refunds will not be granted for the following reasons:
- You changed your mind after receiving the report
- The admission probability, demand level, or outcome shown in the report was lower than you expected or hoped for
- You did not get allotted your target college or any college in your report, despite the report being accurately generated based on historical data (see our Terms of Use, Section 3, regarding the predictive, non-guaranteed nature of our reports)
- You entered incorrect information (wrong rank, category, or target college) at the time of purchase
- You selected a target college, viewed the feasibility outcome, and proceeded with payment regardless
- You simply did not find the report useful or insightful enough for your personal expectations
- Reports already generated using a portion of your purchased credits (e.g., if you purchased 3 credits and used 1, the remaining 2 credits are still valid for use — but the report already generated using the used credit is non-refundable)
6How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund under Section 3, please contact us within 24 hours of payment with the following details:
- Full name and registered phone number used at the time of purchase
- Payment ID / Transaction ID (from Razorpay payment confirmation)
- Date and time of payment
- A brief description of the issue (non-delivery / technical error / duplicate payment)
- Screenshot of the payment confirmation, if available
7Refund Processing Time
Once a refund request is verified and approved by our team, the refund will be initiated within 5–7 business days to the original payment method used. The actual time for the refunded amount to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider, typically taking an additional 3–5 business days.
8Unused Report Credits
If you have purchased a report package (e.g., ₹499 for 3 credits) and have not used any credits, and you contact us within the 24-hour window citing a valid reason under Section 3, the full amount may be refunded. Partially used credit packages will only be refunded for the unused portion at our discretion, and only where Section 3 conditions are clearly met.
9Our Right to Review
SMA reserves the right to investigate and verify all refund requests before approval, including checking system logs, payment records, and report generation status. We reserve the right to decline refund requests that do not meet the criteria outlined in Section 3, or where there is reasonable indication of misuse of this policy.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our paid Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
