What is Agronomist?
An agronomist is a crop science specialist who helps farmers and agricultural companies optimise crop production — selecting the right varieties, soil management, irrigation, fertilisation and pest control strategies for maximum yield and sustainability. In India, agronomists work with state agriculture departments, seed companies, agri-input companies, contract farming firms and agricultural NGOs. As India focuses on improving farm productivity and farmer incomes, agronomists play a critical role in agricultural development.
Is this right for you?
