What is Chartered Accountant?
A chartered accountant is a certified financial expert who handles accounting, auditing, taxation, financial planning and corporate compliance. The CA designation from ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) is one of the most rigorous professional qualifications in India โ€” and one of the most respected. CAs are essential to every business, from startups to multinational corporations. They ensure financial accuracy, manage tax liabilities, conduct statutory audits and advise on financial strategy. With India's GST regime, SEBI regulations and growing corporate sector, demand for CAs has never been stronger.
Is this right for you?
Best suited for Commerce students with strong aptitude for numbers, rules and detailed analysis. The CA course is notoriously difficult with a pass rate of only 10-15% at the Final level. If you have the discipline to study intensely for 4-5 years while also doing articleship training, the reward is a globally respected qualification with excellent career prospects.
